Annamalai University offers two BPharm courses, one General and another Lateral Entry. To get a seat in either of the courses, students must start by applying for the choice of course. After completion of the application stage. The university allocates seats based on students' merit in the qualifying examination. Those offered a seat must report to the university for verification of documents. Lastly, students must pay for admission to secure their seats.

Annamalai University considers marks obtained in the 12th state board examinations for admission to various courses. For undergraduate programs, the university considers the 12th grade point averages of candidates for admission.
For B.P.Ed, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English with at least 65% marks from a recognised board.
For M.P.Ed, candidates are required to score at least 70% marks in the selection tests followed by a written test and personal interview.
For M.B.A, M.C.A, M.E/M.Tech, the university offers admission based on TANCET scores followed by an interview.

Candidates who wish to apply for Bachelor's of Technology must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Annamalai University B.Tech admission is entrance-based through TNEA.
BTech Course in Annamalai University is offered under 11 Specializations. The course structure is based on the credit system.
The Annamalai University Admission Form 2023 for all UG-level programs will be made through merit in the qualifying exam. Admission for PG levels programs will be through the entrance exam, except for the M.Com, MA, and MSc courses.
