Yes, Faculty of Architecture AKTU (FOAP AKTU) was originally part of the Government College of Arts & Crafts since 1911 but separated as a publically funded state college in 1976 before it became a constituent of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University which is a Government University.

Yes, Faculty of Architecture AKTU (FOAP AKTU) has been recognised by a number of national bodies such as the UGC, AICTE, Council of Architecture and the Institute of Town Planners (India). The institute and its linked university has also been NAAC accredited with an A+ grade.
