Yes, Chandigarh University considers your 12th grade marks for admission to the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program. The university uses a merit screening process which looks at your 12th marks along with your CUCET (Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test) score. To be eligible you need at least 50 percent in your 10+2 or equivalent exams. Once you meet the eligibility you can appear for CUCET and then the university evaluates your application based on both your 12th marks as well as CUCET score. Yes, yes Chandigarh University do provide hostel facilities for Fine Arts students. As far as I know, Hostels are clean and well-managed. Rooms are very big, and comfortable enough for students. Daily cleaning is done and things stay in order. 24x7 electricity and Wi-Fi are available. This helps with studying and also when you just want to relax or talk to family online. The mess food is honestly amazing. It's managed by Sodexo now which is a french food management brand, and they give us different food every day. The food tastes nice and is always hygienic. The warden is very helpful and friendly.

Yes, you can get admission in Fine Arts at Chandigarh University even if you did not study Maths in 12th. For this course, subject choice in school does not matter much. The main eligibility is very simple. A student should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam in any stream from a recognised board with at least 50% marks in total. Even students who have done a three-year Diploma in any branch with minimum 50% marks are also eligible to apply. First of all, let me clarify that Chandigarh University Fine Arts students are not subject to any particular, stringent attendance policies or regulations. I understand that attendance must be at least 75%. You will not be permitted to take exams even if you are an excellent student if you have poor attendance. Because they didn't take this seriously, I witnessed a few students struggle. Regular attendance at classes is therefore always preferable.
