You need to be a graduate to join air-force through SSC or CDS. Another way is to appear for the NDA entrance exam after completing class 12th, after qualifying the same take 3 years training, which will make you an officer in the air-force. You need to have good physical standards and perfect eyesight for recruitment to air-force.
If the candidate has completed class 12th with PCM then the candidate can apply for the National Defence Academy exam to join air-force.
For the exam,
• The candidate's age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.
• The candidate must be a citizen of India.
If the candidate has completed graduation, then the candidate can apply for the:
* Combined defence service exam
* Air-force common admission test, etc. to join air-force.
For CDS exam: To join air-force, age should be between 19-23 years.
For AFCAT exam:
For technical branch: Age should be between 18-28 years.
For ground duty branch: Age should be between 20-23 years.
For flying branch: Age should be between 19-23 years.

There is a "All India Pilot Challenge” scholarship exam and earn a scholarship.
This examination is conducted once a year between April and June.
Aspiring student pilots across the nation graduating this academic year are invited to participate in this scholarship competition.
Participating students will be sent a series of information emails on the following:
Career opportunities as a pilot
Requirements and training involved in becoming a pilot
Competition details
This will be followed by a written aptitude test in four major cities across the country following the end of the 12th standard exams. The top 200 participants of this exam will be invited for an interview and pilot aptitude test on our flight simulator at Delta Flight School, Chennai. The top 120 students from this selection process will be offered appropriate scholarship awards in a dedicated award ceremony to be held at Chennai.
VALUE
The topper who clears all the stages of the competition will be sponsored a Commercial Pilot License, worth Rs. 25 Lakh. The top 120 students in the selection process will be awarded other scholarships.
