Admission to undergraduate programs like the BA (Bachelor of Arts) at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University (DDU Gorakhpur University) is based on merit or an entrance exam. Guru Govind University registration is open for admission to several UG, PG and Diploma courses, including BA in Mass Comm, PGDMLT, PG Diploma in Mass Comm, PG Diploma in Journalism, Masters in Law. On the other hand, the registration process for BA, BCom, BSc, Mcom, MSc (Chemistry), MA (Sanskrit, Sociology, Gujrati, English) are now closed. Candidates seeking admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA must have passed Class 12 or SSC with a minimum aggregate ranging from 40-50%. The passing percentage is different for different specialisations offered in the BA programme. With an annual intake of over 900 students for BA and BA (Hons) programmes (including all the specialisations), admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA and BA (Hons) is subject to either CUET (conducted by NTA) or JMI entrance exam. Till 2021, admission was subject to the JMI entrance exam across all specialisations. However, starting 2022, admission to a few BA (Hons) specialisations is CUET-based and for the rest, it is university-level entrance-based.
