Netaji Subhas Open University is UGC DEB approved and NAAC-A accredited. Netaji Subhas Open University is the premier State Open University in India. Following this, a State Act (W. B. Act (XIX) of 1997 and Recognised by U. G. C. ) was passed on the 20th August 1997 in favour of opening a University for imparting Distance Education. The University is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC) u/s 2 (f) video letter No. F.9-2-97 (CPP-I) dated 26 August, 1998. So its all degree are valid for Government jobs. However you must have obtained the Bachelor degree under 10+2+3 education pattern. So NSOU degree will be valid for Railway

MSW regarded as soft M.A. Is a good career choice if done from renowned colleges. Few other good option could be -
- M.A. ( English)
- PG Diploma in communication, advertising etc. From MICA/ IIMC

- M.A. ( Marketing)
- M.A. ( English)
- PG Diploma in advertising/ PR/ corporate communication from institutions like MICA/ IIMC.
