All the open universities in India that offer BA Hons through Distance Learning are recognized by the government. These universities start their admission procedures in or around the month of August and the application forms should reach the institutes by the end of September.
Applicants for B.A (Hons) courses will have to pass their 10+2 examinations in any stream from a recognized board. For some courses the eligibility criteria may vary according to the different universities. A few universities offering BA (Hons) in English are:
