At the UG level, Government College of Education, Chandigarh provides a 2 years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course to the students. This course offers admission to 100 students.

Candidate must have passed graduation from a recognised University/Institute.

Total Fees - Approx Rs.60,000 for whole course.

However, other fees are applicable like library fees, parking fees, etc.

Yes, you can take admission in B.Ed ( Bachelor's in education) without appearing in any entrance exam. There are government universities in states like Haryana and Delhi including Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU), Kurukshetra University, KU and Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU) offer direct admission in B.Ed. In Delhi NCR, open government universities are available like IGNOU ( Indira Gandhi National open University) etc., which provide dierect admission in B.Ed.  So overall it can be said that it is possible to take admission in B.Ed dierectly.

A candidate must clear the AMU B.Ed Admissions Common Entrance Test conducted by the Aligarh Muslim University every year to get admission into this university. The eligibility criteria is candidate must have completed a bachelor's degree in B.Sc./ B.A./ B.Com with at least 50% marks from a recognised College/ Institute/ University. The entrance exam for B.Ed is for 100 marks and syllabus is as like below 

  • General English -  25 marks
  • Reasoning - 25 marks
