Most institutes offering the course admit students based on their performance in the HSC (10+2) exam. The candidate needs to have:
completed the 10+2 level of education from a recognised educational Board. Secured a minimum aggregate score of 50% at the 10+2 level. Have reasonably good problem-solving and mathematical skills.
Interested eligible candidates are offered admission to the course in India mostly on the basis of the score attained at the 10+2 level. Normally speaking one can do only one course at a time in normal brick & mortar college. But in case you want to pursue additional course via distance education then you can definitely do it. Just make sure that when you fill up form you do not make any wrong statement.

Yes, there are some colleges, which take entrance test, but only after your board results are out. They take applications based on your marks and their cutt off. Also there Are some colleges which don't take any test and simply take admission on merit basis.
