Hiii.actually both have equal importance because now a days there is a need for BSc also you can go for BSc then MSc and then you can go in a teaching line as a professor because now there is a need for teachers and professors also .And you can also do BTech
Because there is a great need for technicians also .bt along with the need there is a great competition in BTech hence to make a good career you will have to score good in BTech . So there is an equal importance of both its upto you. What do you want to be .thank you.

I don't think you can. Minimum qualification to get lateral entry in b.tech. is either polytechnic diploma or bachelor degree in science (PCM) with at least 60% marks. So you better complete your degree first if you are already doing it. Good luck.
