For NIT Patna B.Sc. (Hons) admissions, candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for admissions is that candidate should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate. The entrance exam accepted is JEE Main. You should opt for a B.Tech degree if you manage to get admission in a good B.Tech private college. On the other hand, if you wish to go for an affordable and cost effective degree, you can opt for a B.Sc. From DU and then do a Master's level course basis your specialisation interest.

Yes, you can do because B.Sc. Economics Hons Programme, it is a commerce base Programme. Only a Bsc tag name doesn't give it a science base Programme. Most of Universities offer economics Hons programme Programme to students with subjects like Maths or economics.
