Its helpful in getting the students know about various companies that visit, collecting feedback from placed students, conducting GDs etc.The highest package offered this year was from Amazon (12lakhs per annum) followed by HDFC, Bajaj, etc. (8lakhs per annum). So if you are looking forward to getting placed in a good company then don't think twice. Go for ASB Kochi. They are provided with an MRD card facility with which a student could avail health treatment up to Rs. 30,000 per year. Two per room with attached bathroom and balcony (for boys) ASB provides clean and neat surroundings. But for girls, it is a bit disappointing as they had mentioned about non attached bathrooms and all.

Faculty: The teaching faculty members were highly qualified. They had an excellent and thorough knowledge of the subject. They used methods like PPTs, case studies and research articles to teach. We got industry exposure, and different companies heads visited here to take classes.here will be pressure in the first year but in fact its necessary to mould each student corporate ready. Thus Amrita scores in that. Also, a large number of visiting faculty take classes and are highly experienced businessmen and all are there to enlighten the students.

Q:   Does B.Sc. in Nursing have a better placement rate than B.Sc. in Respiratory Therapy at ASAS Kochi?

A:

Yes, at ASAS Kochi, B.Sc. in Nursing has a higher placement rate than B.Sc. in Respiratory Therapy. According to the college's 2022-23 placement report, 90% of B.Sc. in Nursing graduates were put in various hospitals and healthcare organizations, while 75% of B.Sc. in Respiratory Therapy graduates were placed.

There are a few reasons why B.Sc. in Nursing has a better placement rate than B.Sc. in Respiratory Therapy.

In the healthcare business, nurses are in more demand than respiratory therapists. This is due to nurses' broader skill set and ability to handle a number of duties such as medicine administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring. Respiratory therapists, on the other hand, are trained to treat respiratory disorders such as asthma and cystic fibrosis.

Job forecast: Over the next decade, the job outlook for nurses is expected to expand substantially faster than the national average. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of registered nurses will increase by 9% between 2020 and 2030, substantially faster than the average for all occupations. Absolutely satisfied with the college, campus, faculty, course etc.
Placements: High placement rate compared to nearby colleges. Most of the top companies recruit students from Amrita. The highest package was 17 lacs per annum for the MCA 2023 passout, and the minimum package is 5 lacs per annum. Placement is assured on campus.
Infrastructure: As a computer science student, we have five labs separately from the other courses. Good and clean classroom with digital classes. The hostel is available for girls only and has good food. Only vegetarian food is available on campus. Nutritious food is available in the hostel mess.

Q:   Is MAT required for MBA at ASAS Kochi?

A:

A valid score in any of the MBA entrance exams (CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/XAT/GRE and KMAT) is required. However, MAT is not required for MBA. It is a decision.

The MAT is one of several management exams accepted at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham - Kochi Campus.  Aside from the MAT, CAT, GMAT, CMAT, and XAT scores are also accepted for MBA admission. However, it is obvious that you must take at least one of these management exams in order to be eligible for an MBA at ASAS Kochi.

Q:   How do students get selected for MBA at ASAS Kochi and what is the minimum score required?

A:

Every year, ASAS Kochi holds an online application process for MBA admission. Students must have a minimum of 60% in any graduate degree from a recognised university to be eligible for an MBA at ASAS Kochi. A valid GMAT, CAT, XAT, MAT, or CMAT score is required, followed by performance in a group discussion and personal interview.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their overall performance in the interview once the application process is completed. Students with higher ranks will then have the opportunity to enroll in their desired branch.

The university selection criteria is a mix of merit-based and entrance exam. For BSc courses the selection would be based on 50% seats via Amrita Entrance Examination (merit)/ 50% seats via Management quota. Similarly for MSc, MPH, MHA etc. courses, the selection would be merit-based/PI.
