You can learn simulation tools. You can consider simulation engineering, if you are passionate about core companies, R&D. All engineering giants, mechanical, electrical manufacturers and R&D firms are already into simulation technologies. Every company has enough CAD engineers but finding simulation expertise is very difficult. Simulation solves problems, saves time and money, improves product and product development process. Simulation has also proved its importance in the field of bio mechanics, medicine, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automobile, energy, and consumer goods.

After the completion of B.Tech in mechanical stream, I think you should go for M.Tech. It will help you to gather more knowledge in your field. Also, you will get specialise in your field. After that, you can get a job in a better designation with a higher salary. You can also go for research in your field. MBA course is also in huge demand. If you have an interest in management field then you can go for MBA course. After that, you will get a very good job in management post. So, you can go for any one of them. It totally depends upon your interest.

Both are equally good but then if you are inclined towards teaching or technical aspects you should go for M.Tech. Otherwise, you should go for MBA as it will help you climb up the managerial ladder and go up in your career. In case you did not appear for GATE, CAT, MAT, etc., you should try to get admission in private universities like LPU, SMU, SRM, etc. Some of them will give you direct admission on the basis of your previous qualification and some on the basis of their own tests. Most private universities these days are at par with the government ones and offer equally good facilities to students.

My answer to your question: As soon as possible. Studying more wouldn't harm you. Studying MBA fresh out of B.Tech might be beneficial in terms of placements as some profiles in finance/marketing/consulting prefer fresher or people with relevant work experience.

It depends on the type of specialisation you have done in your B.Tech. MBA is a management course, it is done by those who are seeking management level jobs. M.Tech will fetch you jobs which are technical and you will learn more about the mechanism of the machines rather than management. Choose, what interests you more.

There are few universities where you can get admission in M.Tech CSE with any graduation degree in engineering. But you will have to do exceptionally will in GATE exam. Look for IITG as an option.

The difference between a student from Delhi and Outside Delhi is in terms of rank only. The eligibility stays the same that is 60% for general/OBC and 55% for SC/ST.

Hello Pranav, Placements after completion of Engineering is normally a dynamic situation. It depends on the country's Industrial and economic climate at that point in time. In the best of times it is quite tough to predict what is going to happen 4 years from now. Presently situation for Aeronautical engineers is not Rosy but it is expected that 4 years from today there would be plenty of industries catering to the vibrant Aerospace Industries that is expected to be present at that point in time. You should go for M.Tech in CSE, if you genuinely think that you can do well and excel in the same field. It will have good opportunities and scope.
