Opt for the course that you love the most and are most passionate about and analyze the future work conditions, scope and growth prospects before taking admission.
If you love journalism, go for it, it's better to change stream now then to regret later.
You can also opt for psychometric test comprising of Aptitude, personality and career interest if you have any confusion.

Currently St. Xavier's, Ahmadabad is under Gujarat University and only after a year it will become autonomous. That's the reason the course is too novice. According to me computer science is a field where extra courses and certifications that focus on developing skill are more important and thus a decent college would do the need.
