A normal MCA course consists of 3 years, whereas a lateral entry course consists of two years. If you join MCA after B.Sc, you must do 3 year MCA course. But, if you join MCA after BCA, then you can join lateral system and completing this in 2 years.

Yes, you can get admission in all of these colleges as per your branch rank. I will suggest you to go for JNTUK for BCA course. It will be very good for you and you will get a seat easily here.

Hi Saurabh,
Yes, it is good choice to go us to pursue engineering degree. Yes, you can do it even after BCA, but your marks in intermediate will be considered only for admission purposes. You must score good in intermediate and pass in all the subjects. Best of luck.

Dear Rashi,I would suggest you against dropping for a year. Dropping for a year is no surety that next year you will qualify JEE. In case you are interested in B.Tech, it would be better if your try for some good private universities. Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech degree with various specializations. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests, some offer admission on the basis of both and some offer admission basis of marks in class 12th. Here, I will suggest two courses for you:
1. MCA
Master of Computer Applications. This is the best course according to my opinion after completing BCA course. This is because MCA course contains topics which are continued from courses in BCA. That means MCA is a continuation after BCA. You can cover most of the topics of BCA in MCA. This makes studying your subjects easier.
