The best option to be a computer programmer is B.Tech CSE or IT. BCA is the second best option. To get a good job after BCA, you will have to gain minimum MCA degree. MCA is treated equivalently to B.Tech CSE or IT by Indian IT industry.

Hi,
Yes, BCA is a professional degree through that not only you would get the programming, technical language and software details, but you can apply for a job in IT companies. Many good universities do offer placement too.
If you are planning to pursue this program, than you should add Master's degree as MCA or MBA related to your caliber and interest to get the good profile and salary too.
All the best.

Hi,
It is an important point that you have done class 12th with economics and mathematics. In IT Industry, you will get better position and package, if you managed to do MCA. You can do MCA after B.Com or BCA. I would suggest you to pursue B.Com, and then you can go for MCA.

BBA provides exposure to all management functions and is a professional job oriented degree. As your long-term career goal is to do MBA, it is recommended that you opt for BBA which aligns more with your long-term career objectives & goals in comparison to BCA.

From your options it is assumed that you want to be a software engineer. B.Tech CSE or B.Tech IT is the most accepted qualification by Indian IT industry for Developer jobs. It will take 4 years to do B.Tech. BCS-MCA duration is 5 to 6 years. Therefore, it is recommended that you opt for B.Tech CSE or IT from good engineering colleges.
