Another thing, is if you would like to apply for European countries, they have much more research oriented courses in their countries along with many scholarships. Answering the main question - I believe you can go for both. Obviously, BCA is applied course and can give you much more exposure to applied things than a B.Sc, because it is mostly have a theoretical course but obviously there's a view you can keep on exploring about things.
