Yes, students from any stream can study and pursue BFA courses. The entry requirement for BFA is that you secure a minimum of 50% or above in Class 12. However, students need to appear in entrance tests before getting admission to BFA courses.
A lot of schools and institutions that offer BFA programmes do not technically require their students to have studied the arts in the past. It is advisable to review the entrance requirements of the particular colleges you are considering and, if needed, get in touch with their admissions offices to get further information.

No, the college offers direct admission to BFA. To be eligible for direct admission applicants must fill out the admission criteria set by the college. The eligibility criteria set by the college for admission to BFA is to pass Class 10 and Class 12 from a recognised board. After, completing the selection criteria candidates need to visit the college and fill out the admission form.

Admission in Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Applied Arts and Crafts Akurdi for BFA is not so much difficult if you have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) and English as a passing subject and having good marks in a MAH AAC CET (Maharashtra Applied Arts and Crafts Common Entrance Test) or any other equivalent competitive examination.

The candidate must have a minimum of 75 percentile on UCEED in order to be eligible to apply for BFA at Chitkara Design School. The entrance score is just one of the eligibility criteria and you must also have a valid 12th standard score which is a basic criterion for admission. The candidate must also have a strong portfolio showcasing their artistic skills and creative potential.
