GMAT is the preferred choice to get into the top B-Schools outside India. However, other than a strong resume, you should have at least 2-3 years of work experience. And if you don't have work experience, you can look for Masters in Management programme too, which doesn't require much experience.

Depending on your resume and profile, you can choose where you want to work. Also, during the interview, the panelists focus on what job role you were in and what you have done during it, more than the company you worked for. Hope that helps.
