If you already have work experience in the IT sector before doing your MBA, then looking for higher up positions in the same technical ladder would make sense and would be easy too. You have an MBA plus technical exposure which makes you very eligible. Firstly, it would help to have a relevant work experience- something in sync with what you have studied. Even if it is like an internship, corporate environment adds great value to begin with. It surely helps you apply technical aspects that you learnt to an efficient use and gives you a perspective. Firstly, it really comes with lots of hands-on. HR is a field which is truly people-centric. If you are already in an HR environment, it would be good to take initiative to conduct activities, arrange key tasks and activities which will directly / indirectly involve the use of soft skills and personality traits. For example, to enhance communication skills, it would be great to have employee engagement fun activity just to talk to people around and know them better. Like, breaking the ice.
