No, all MBA admissions into NIT Hamirpur are done by entrance exams. Candidates have to appear for CAT/MAT or CMAT entrance exam to be eligible for admission into the MBA programme at NIT Hamirpur.

A candidate cannot apply for direct admission into the university and has to apply through these entrance exams to be eligible for admission. The admission in the programme is through multiple rounds, candidates have to be part of a group discussion and a personal interview followed by the payment of tuition fees to finalise their admission.

Yes, NIT Hamirpur MBA admissions are merit-based but they are not done based on merit secured in the entrance exams and graduation. The entrance exam and graduation score allow candidates to be selected for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.

A merit list is then released of candidates clearing the GD and PI round, it is according to this merit that provisional admissions into NIT Hamirpur MBA takes place. Therefore, candidates will have to clear multiple rounds to finalise their admission into the programme.

SMIT will announce the dates of the SMIT online entrance exam. The exam is expected to be held in various phases and the Sikkim Manipal Entrance Test (SMET) or Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) online test will take place in remote proctored mode.

NIT Hamirpur shortlists candidates based on CAT/ MAT and CMAT entrance scores. Candidates who want to apply for an MBA at NIT Hamirpur should appear for these exams and apply for admission to the university. Only candidates who have a valid CAT/ MAT/ and CMAT entrance score are eligible to apply for an MBA.

The scores for the entrance exam are only used for shortlisting of candidates. The selection process for the MBA course at NIT Jalandhar involves two considerations, first candidates must complete their bachelor's degree from a recognised educational body with a minimum aggregate of 60% (5% leisure is given to the students who are from reserved categories). Another process to get selected is candidates must secure a valid score in either the CAT/ MAT/ CMAT entrance exam.

To be eligible to get admission to the MBA course at NIT Jalandhar, students are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria for the course. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree of three-year duration from a recognised institute/ university with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (55% for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) are eligible to apply for the course. The students appearing for the final year of their bachelor's degree/ equivalent qualification or awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

Admission to the NIT Jalandhar MBA course is subject to the scores secured in the entrance examination scores. The chosen applicants must also pass rounds of personal interviews and group discussions. Furthermore, a one-year PGDM course in Humanities and Management is available at NIT Jalandhar.
