In the most recent episode of GIBS IRE/GIBS Talks, Deepak Saini discussed transformational leadership, entrepreneurship and inner mastery. Deepak spoke about how purpose, discipline and clarity influence one's ability to grow personally, build confidence and be effective throughout their professional careers. While gaining admission to GIBS Business School is not particularly difficult, the process is selective. Therefore, GIBS is looking for students who have met the minimum requirements to apply and who have an interest in studying management or business. Candidates can submit any of the following entrance exam scores (CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, or ATMA) with their application to PGDM but do not have to get very high percentiles. The focus of GIBS is on evaluating applicants holistically rather than just based on their academic performance (e.g., academic history, communication skills, interview skills, and attitude towards learning). Additionally, GIBS will allow motivated candidates to apply regardless of whether they had the highest GPA in their graduating high school.

If you're asking about the PGDM at GIBS, honestly the eligibility part is pretty straightforward. You just need to have completed your graduation in any stream (like BBA, BCom, BTech, BA, etc.). Even students who are in their final year can apply — so it's not like you need to wait forever.

Apart from that, you need to have a valid score from entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, KMAT, etc. Nothing scary — even I applied with MAT. GIBS looks more at overall fit, motivation, and how serious you are about building a career than just raw marks.

For me the best part was that GIBS gives importance to practical learning, placements, IRE, and exposure rather than just theoretical stuff. So once you're eligible and you get in, the experience actually pays off. It's more about who you become during the programme than just the admission process.
