It would be better if you do MA in sociology after it. After it, you can not only work with private organizations like NGOs but can also get into government sector that are recruiting these candidates.

There are very few opportunities in any sector after completion of this course. You will be required to pursue a Masters course i.e. MA in political science and after that, you can only work as a lecturer. There are no more opportunities in this field.

You might need to join a coaching institute in order to clear your CPT that can be done through correspondence or regular mode.

The college, more than the name of the degree, should matter to you. In India, only universities offer MBA degree. And PGDM is treated equally to MBA. So, most of the top colleges like all IIMs, XLRI, FMS, SPJIMR, TAPMI offer PGDM and not MBA. So focus on getting into a good college even if it only offers PGDM.
