There is a difference between IT and ICT and Its simple as a piece of Cake.
In IT the word I relates to Information that is in forms of ZEROs and ONE, binary so every subset of IT that is Infrastructure (network, server), Information System (application, databases), Information Security (access control, firewalls)are all deals with data in the form of Binary. In short its all about binary data.
In ICT , I relates to Information which can be analog or binary and Communication relates to devices which sends and receive signals, Its all about device technologies which communicate with each other such as radios with station, mobile

For a career in banking go for commerce stream. After 12th you can go for B.Com, B.Com (H), B.Com (Professional), Integrated/ dual B.Com-M.Com, Integrated/ dual B.Com-MBA, etc. All these courses will prepare you for a career in banking.
