CAT is considered to be one of the most difficult entrance exams in India, but it is isnt as difficult as its made out to be. Most of the topics that are tested in CAT are High school level topics. The difficulty lies in the fear of the test. Most CAT aspirants resign to an assumption that they cant score above a certain percentile without even knowing what the test is made off, half the game is lost at this point.

You can apply for NITK-SOM (Good ROI), JKSHIM-Karkala and Manipal-SOM (Both are old and reputed, placement is better than average), Sahyadri Mangalore or AIMIT (Both are good at academics and extra-curricular activities, placement is decent).
