The cutoff for the previous year was 96 percentile in CAT.

Hi Shivangi,
For any MBA college, the first and basic step is to clear the entrance exam. Though it is one of the factors of evaluation and there are colleges who have their own exams still one of the exams is necessary to get yourself into the GD-PI process. I am from IES-MCRC and here in our college, there is no direct admission policy. Here each and every individual is judged by there entrance score and also their performance in GDPI. (For PGDM) For MS, one has to appear for CET and fill the form to get admission in any college. MS doesn't have any GD-PI process.

56 percentile is a little less to get into a decent college. You currently have 2 options with you. First, you can appear for CET, MAT and ATMA (other two exam scores are not accepted by all the colleges). Second, wait for a year, study hard and prepare well. You can also appear for your M.Com exams (if not done) or else get a work experience as an intern in a company related to your field. IBS has it's own procedure of selecting students wherein you need to go to their main campus in Hyderabad and appear for the GD-PI. Later, they may notify you regarding your selection. IBS is a good college but which campus you would get i

It's difficult if you are a general category student. Normally, the cut-off is more than 75 percentile for NIT, Trichy. You will get a call for GD and PI, but it's difficult to get admission with this percentile.
