Since,You have one year remaining with you, if you want to prepare for CAT side by side BTech, You can opt for two things, Either take CAT coachings, if you can't do that now, then start reading about Current affairs and General Knowledge, preferable books, Manorama Yearbook, Pratiyogita Darpan, Competition Success, Front line Magazine, India Today.

Danish, you can try for some private universities. Not all of them take admission through CAT/MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/GMAT etc only. There are many like Lovely, Chitkara, Sharda, etc that offer admission either on marks of graduation or their own tests.
All these are world class universities with good placements. Some even offer scholarships.
Check with the universities for more information.
Good luck.

Hi Roshan,
For cracking CAT, one needs to have a goods base of maths. Like you have mentioned that you are not in touch of maths since last 2 years, in that case I would suggest you to get a good grip over the basics. Go through the maths syllabus of 9th & 10th. Practice and practice.
The more you would practice, your speed would gradually increase.
Good luck.

To get an interview call from a good and reputed B-school for its further interview rounds, a score of 96+ percentile (for new IIMs) and 99+ percentile (for old IIMs and top non-IIMs) should be enough.
