The steps involved are as follows:
1. Successfully complete an ITI certification course in Electrical, Mechanical or related trade or a Diploma Course in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Look out for Advertisements by Railway Recruitment Boards for Assistant Loco Pilot in Employment News or daily newspapers and apply.
3. You have to appear at a written test as per the specified notification.
4. Once you clear the written test, you have to undergo a psychological test.
5. The results are notified in papers or employment news and if you are successful in it you are required to undergo training for at least six months at the nom
