Yes, it is always good to pursue Journalism studies after 12th itself. AFCOS IIMCs are good without any doubt but there are few other institutes across the country which are equally good as IIMC's. Few things you should keep on your mind prior to proceed for Journalism degree.
Do they have an experienced faculty (Faculty must have expertise in theory and practical both). Do they have Adequate/appropriate equipment to make you expert in handling them? If you are asking about the Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS), then the eligibility criteria of the course is 12th with minimum 60% marks in PCM and 50% marks in English. So you are eligible for this course. The selection is based on performance in IMUCET exam.

Try to score as high as possible in CAT if you really want to do an MBA. That should be the first step. It is not impossible but would be difficult considering 12th and graduation marks. But if an MBA is the way ahead, first focus on CAT and leave this aside.
