The university is approved by UGC, AICTE, BCI, NCHMCT, PCI, COA, NCTE, AIU, and CSI. CU Chandigarh is a member of ICAR, AUAP, IAU, ACU, IEEE, ASME, IUCEE, and ACS. CU University, through 18 institutes and various departments, offers UG, PG, PhD, diploma, and other courses to students across the Management, Engineering, and other streams.

Chandigarh University has well-educated faculty. Most of the faculty are PhD and Masters degree holders. The university also invites faculty for guest lectures and tries to offer an opportunity for students to talk to some of the best personalities. The university has over 100+ national and 80 international faculty members that visit the campus from time to time.

Chandigarh University admissions to most of the courses are based on entrance exams. All the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes' admissions are based on university-conducted entrance exams called Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET). Further, candidates need to pay the registration fee of INR 1,000 (inclusive of prospectus cost) which is valid only for online applicants. Those who want to apply offline can register using the unique number available on the offline form.

Since I'm a student, I can express my opinion. I will surely consider Chandigarh University before visiting both LPU and Chitkara since I am not biassed in any way. Three of these universities are the top ones, and I am from Punjab. Universities are excellent in and of themselves, but Chandigarh University is my top focus.
Recently, the NIRF ranking became known. I must say that Chandigarh University is doing much better. Being the youngest university to enter the competition is challenging, but it did so brilliant.
