The cutoff trend for BTech at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under general category for all India quota was 90378. In 2022, it decreased to 85744. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 90378 to 81426 for OBC, 190098 to 224720 for SC, 662196 to 390021 for ST, 102979 to 101883 for EWS, . This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

In 2022, cut off was 15339 for the General category candidates in All India quota for BTech + M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Delhi University is now conducting admission to its undergraduate courses based on the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET 2023).
