The NEET 2024 exam date has been announced. The exam will be conducted on May 5, 2024. Below are some of the other important AIIMS Delhi latest updates:
- INI CET 2024 January session result has been announced. Qualified candidates will be able to download the scorecard from the official with login details. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has also released the list of provisionally qualified candidates for INI CET 2024 January session.
- The latest placement report for the year 2023 has not been released by the college. However, as per the NIRF report 2023, a total of 520 out of 693 UG and PG students were placed during AIIMS Delhi placement 2022.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi (also known as AIIMS Delhi) was established in 1956 as an Institution of National Importance by an Act of Parliament. It has consistently secured rank 1 for the sixth time in a row by the NIRF 2023 Ranking under the ‘Medical’ category. It also ranked 6 and 8 under the 'Overall' and 'Research' categories, respectively. It is facilitated to offer medical and para-medical courses at UG and PG levels. It awards students with degrees across 43 disciplines, operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and is governed by the AIIMS Act, 1956. Undergraduate programmes such as BSc, B.Optom, and MBBS as well as postgraduate programmes such as MSc, MD, MS, and PhD at AIIMS Delhi are now accepting applications for admission in 2023. AIIMS Delhi offers 92 courses across three streams that are inclusive of undergraduate programmes in Medicine, Nursing, and related areas. The PG courses cover almost all the basic and clinical medical specialities as well as super specialities. AIIMS Delhi offers five-year MBBS and three-year MD/MS courses. The BSc Nursing course is of four years duration whereas BSc Nursing (Post Basic) and MSc Nursing courses are of two years duration. AIIMS Delhi 2022 admission is conducted in online mode and is entrance-based only. The institute offers over 90 undergraduate, postgraduate, super-speciality, and doctoral programmes in the streams such as Medical, Nursing, Applied Science, etc. AIIMS admission cycle is based on the entrance exams throughout the year. AIIMS Delhi Scholarships 2023
AIIMS Delhi offers merit-based and merit-cum-means-based scholarship to students gaining top-scores in the entrance exams held for respective courses. The Smt Maya Devi Trust and Shri Kirpa Ram Kohli Educational Trust have offered ‘The AIIMSONIANS’ scholarship for undergraduate students of AIIMS Delhi. The value of the scholarship is INR 10,000. The sub-committee of the Executive Committee of AIIMSONIANS will select the students based on the eligibility criteria which are as follows:
- AIIMS Delhi scholarship will be applicable only for the undergraduate students of the institute
- Students should score high marks in the semester exams of the undergraduate courses
- The financial background of students will be assessed before granting the scholarship
- Eligible students should apply by filling up the Scholarship Application form with the requisite details and attaching a passport size photograph within the deadline

AIIMS Delhi Infrastructure
The total area of the AIIMS Delhi campus is 213.5 acres. AIIMS New Delhi set up an Innovation Facilitation Division in 2017 to accommodate AIIMS faculty and scientists as incubatees. A Bio-Park is also under construction. MoU with other incubators to invite the startups for commercial ventures is also signed. AIIMS Delhi established a Centre for Integrative Medicine and Research (CIMR) in 2016 with an aim to build a convergence of contemporary medicine with India’s ancient and traditional medical practices. CIMR is dedicated to research, documentation and delivery of holistic healthcare. A patent has been granted to ‘Sealbio: a novel non-obturation regenerative technique of endodontic treatment’.
Another patent on the ‘Method for automatic detection of anatomical landmarks in volumetric data’ has been applied. The annual fest Pulse is organised by the AIIMS Students’ Union and it is a socio-cultural, literary and sports fest which was first held in the year 1973.
