NIT Durgapur cutoff 2025 has been released for the round 1. The cutoff has been released for admission to BTech, Integrated BTech and Integrated MS course, on the basis of JEE Main scores. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the All India and Home State quotas. Among the General AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks varied between 8596 and 41977. The  most desired specialisation among the General AI category candidates was  BTech in CSE.

Yes, you can get admission to Sanaka Educational Trust's Group of Institutions for B.E. / B.Tech without the WBJEE exam. To be eligible for the course, the candidate needs to have a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12th in a relevant stream. Eligible candidates will also have to appear for the JEE Main exam (if not appearing for the WBJEE exam) and score valid marks to secure admission to the course. There may be some seats reserved for direct admission under the managemnet quota also.

If you belong to the OBC category of students and are aiming for NIT Durgapur MSc courses, then you must aim to secure a cutoff rank of up to 1716 or less. For 2025, the first round cutoff list is out, wherein the closing ranks varied between 282 and 1716 for the students belonging to the OBC category under the AI quota. So, considering the first round cutoff, it is better to have a lower cutoff rank to improve your chances of securing a seat at NIT Durgapur for the MSc programme. Below are the MSc specialisation-wise CCMN first-round closing ranks of OBC category students:

NIT Durgapur offers admission to the MSc course across multiple specialisations based on candidates' performance in the IIT JAM entrance exam, followed by the CCMN counselling process. For 2025 admission, the Round 1 closing ranks varied between 247 and 1145 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. Of all the MSc specialisations, the one with the lowest cutoff rank of 247 was Applied Geology and Geoinformatics. For other specialisations along with their GATE CCMN first-round closing ranks, check out the table provided below:

You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
