To get into MBA programme, students need to have good scores in the MAT and JEMAT.

For MCA admission is through counselling based on the rank obtained in West Bengal Joint Entrance for admission in Masters of Computer Applications (JECA).

The selection process for NIT Durgapur's Integrated BSc + MSc course is entrance-based. Candidates seeking admission to the five-year, integrated course must appear for JEE (Main). After appearing for the exam, they must register for JoSAA/CSAB counselling for seat allocation. Based on their rank in JEE (Main), a merit list of shortlisted candidates will be released. Those who manage to get shortlisted must confirm their admission by submitting the prescribed fee.

To be eligible for admission to the Integrated MSc course at NIT Durgapur, aspirants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• They must have passed Class 12 with Chemistry as a complusory subject
• They must have appeared for JEE (Main)
• They must have the necessary documents required to prove their eligibility during admission

The total tuition fee for the Integrated BSc + MSc programme at NIT Durgapur is INR 75,000 for five years. Additionally, selected candidates are required a one-time fee of INR 15,500. The NIT Durgapur fee structure also includes other miscellaneous charges payable every semester. The total amount of these charges is INR 16,600. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category are exempted from paying the tuition fee but they have to pay the other charges.
