Honestly speaking, chances are very low.

With 75% in boards and 26 percentile in JEE Main, getting admission to Thapar University (TIET) for BTech is unlikely, even in lower-demand branches. Thapar's cut-offs are usually much higher, especially for JEE-based admissions.

You might have a very slim chance only if:

• Seats remain vacant in later counselling rounds

• You're open to non-core / less demanded branches

• You have Punjab domicile or reserved category

There is theory, but it's always connected to practice. There are subjects like fashion history, textiles, and design theory that support creative work. Theory exams are usually fewer compared to practical evaluations. 

Students usually pursue internships with independent designers, fashion labels, export houses, boutiques,  and styling studios. In the past, students have interned with ZARA, Superdry, Ritu Kumar, Study by Janak, Qbik, etc. These internships give students real exposure to timelines, client expectations, and industry workflows.

Research methodology is introduced both as a formal course ( Research Methods) and as a part of projects in many programs at IILM. Students learn research design, data collection techniques, sampling methods, and basic statistical tools. These skills are applied through research projects, surveys, and term papers. 

Research and academic writing are evaluated through various components such as research reports, term papers, literature reviews, case analyses, dissertations (for honors or final year), and academic presentations.

Grading rubrics consider clarity of thought, depth of analysis, use of academic sources, proper citation, logical structure, and originality.

Almost all courses incorporate research projects.

Indian Institute of Technology released GATE cutoff 2026. The IITG GATE 2026 result has been declared. The conducting body releases the exam result and cutoff for all 30 subjects. The cutoff for GATE 2026 is available category-wise. Candidates securing the minimum cutoff will be eligible to participate in counselling. 

Note: The minimum qualifying cutoff is different for all subjects. 

For GITAM School of Technology, Visakhapatnam (B.Tech) the total tuition fee for the 4-year course is about ₹12.22 – ₹16.47 lakhs, depending on the branch you choose (e.g., CSE is around ₹16.47 L for the entire duration). Yearly it's roughly ₹3.8 – ₹4.4 Lacs for CSE. 

The study abroad programme for BTech at Amity University Jaipur is a short-term international exposure opportunity (called the Study Abroad Program / SAP). It lets students spend about 5 weeks studying at Amity's campuses or partner locations in countries like Singapore, Dubai, London, Australia, New York, France and Canada, gaining global academic exposure, cross-cultural learning, and industry insights alongside their regular course.
