SIMAT primarily admits students based on their performance in qualifying exams like the KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture, Medical Entrance Exam) for undergraduate programs,
Private colleges, including SIMAT, often have a management quota, which allows them to admit a limited number of students outside of the regular merit list, often with higher fees.

As per the AJCE BTech selection criteria, the college shortlisted the candidates based on their scores obtained in the entrance exam, i.e., JEE Main and KEAM. Candidates who graduate in the relevant subjects are eligible to apply. This admission through the entrance ensures that only qualified candidates are selected for the M.Tech course. In order to be admitted to Amal Jyothi, applicants must meet the general selection and eligibility criteria.
