Yes, the University of Lucknow offers lateral entry to the BTech course. Lateral entry admission to this course is based on the merit of the Central University Entrance Test (CUET). Apart from the later entry admission, Lucknow University's regular BTech admission is based on candidates' performance in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) entrance test.

Lucknow University admission to most of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET), Under Graduate Professional Entrance Test (UGPET) and Postgraduate Entrance Test PGET. The Lucknow University provides residential facilities to all the teachers, students, and non-teaching staff.
