To facilitate conduct of international, national and important University events such as conferences, workshops, seminars, meetings, placement programmes and cultural events, the University has two big auditoriums, preview theatre and Dr.Mu.Va.Hall.
All of them are well-furnished, air-conditioned and equipped with modern projection and audio systems with access to internet with the latest Vc's teaching aids like LCD projector, slide projector and over head projector.
Educational cassettes are also projected in these theatres in consultation with subject staff.

Madurai Kamaraj University, also known as MKU, is a reputed state University in Madurai. Institute of Correspondence Course and Continuing Education was started in 1971 in MKU. It was renamed as Directorate of Distance Education in 1996. It is recognised and funded by UGC and is a member of Association of Indian Universities. It has been reaccredited by NAAC with grade A.
