Candidates, who are desirous to join B.Tech program in IIST must appear for Joint Entrance Examination Main conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi to qualify themselves to appear for Joint Entrance Examination Advanced, which is conducted by IITs and secure the minimum prescribed category wise marks in JEE Advanced.

IIST is the third best option to pursue aerospace engineering after IITs and PEC University - Chandigarh. There is no fee in IIST and ISRO will offer you job of scientific officer subject to availability of vacancies on completion of B.Tech.

You are advised to appear for JEE Mains and do B.Tech in aeronautical engineering from IIT, PEC University, Chandigarh or IIST to fulfill your dream of becoming a space scientist. You may also evaluate Amity University or Manipal University for the same. You can also do M.Sc in physics, B.Tech in CSE or electronics to do join ISRO and other space R&D orgs.
