It depends on the branch of your interest. However, ECE is an ever green branch with good placements and better scope for higher studies. Not saying that civil isn't good but ECE is better.

Yes, it does. There'll be a concession in the institute fee. The mess fee remains the same for anyone. This is for NITT.

Alright. I understand. I'd suggest Instrumentation and Control engineering. It has better placements and scope for higher studies as it's a developing field which is getting more and more prominent in the practical world. However, you really need to work hard if you take ICE. All the best :)

The cut-off ranks changes every year. You can check in the internet to find out the cut offs for previous years and make a decision accordingly. All the best :)

Hello,
To get into top three NITs, you should have more than 60% and for good branches like CSE and ECE, you need to score 70-80%.

Sorry but your rank is too high in JEE paper 2. Above 300 marks are considered for admission in NITs for B.Arch. So you should try in private colleges.

There are no particular marks but there will be the closing and opening ranks for each NIT in India that varies every year.
This year the cut off marks for each caste have gone low. So if your score is 260 and above then there might be some chances. But for general category you need to have 300 and above. Your all India rank should be at least 4000 or below to get NIT Trichy.
If you mention your all India rank and category rank then I may tell whether you can get it or not.

I don't think that you will get NIT but search for other colleges through your NATA score or with this score, you may go to some reputed private institutions like Amity, ITM, etc.
Wish you luck.
