Yes, Emory University does not require standardized tests for first-year or transfer students who plan to enroll in Fall 2023. This policy applies to both entry points of Emory University, Emory College of Arts and Sciences and Oxford College, all decision plans (both Early Decision rounds and Regular Decision, and Transfer students). International students, if they prefer, have the option of submitting an interview that they have done with InitialView. Since there is a cost to this, fee waivers would be available for those students finding it expensive. Thus, it is not mandatory to appear for an interview for admission to Emory University.

Once the applicants downloades his/her application, an email will be sent with details on setting up your application portal. First, check application status to view the receipt of application materials. It may take up to two weeks for submitted items to be received, processed, and checked off from the checklist. If you can not meet the minimum IELTS/TOEFL scores for admission requirements then you can join UB's English Language Institute to improve your English. If you can take the TOEFL or IELTS again in the near future and present a new score card which meets the minimum admission requirement for the English language then your application file will be reconsidered. The university will review your application with a new scorecard and if it meets the minimum IELTS/TOEFL requirement then the university may offer you a new admission letter.

Tests are optional and international students have the choice to include or not include test scores in their application review. The University at Buffalo support SUNY's decision to temporarily suspend ACT and SAT requirements for admission through Spring 2023. Students can share their scores as part of their application if they choose by selecting this option on their application.
