B Tech programs at VIT Mauritius are one of the best programs to pursue. Data science, Computer Engineering with a focus on AI and Machine Learning, Civil Engineering, and other fields are among the most sought-after specializations. The approximate cost of tuition for these programs is INR 5L. In the PCM subjects of standard XII or its equivalent, students must receive an aggregate score of at least 55%. Among other things, they have to make sure that students attend English-medium schools or that English language instruction is required at the upper secondary level.

There is no application fee for international students to apply to VIT Mauritius. International students must fulfill the basic eligibility by holding a minimum aggregate of 55% in the PCM subjects in standard XII or its equivalent, and submit the necessary documents including a proof of Age and Nationality through a passport, birth certificate, or any other national ID, 11th grade Mark sheet /AS Level/ Form V, 12th grade Mark sheet /A Level/ Form VI and English language at the high secondary level.

IIT is more popular than VIT Mauritius. IIT is well known for its academic offerings, research opportunities, and strong alumni networks. On the other hand, VIT Mauritius is quite a new campus of VIT and may not have the same establishments and reputation. In addition, the cost to pursue B.Tech programs at IIT is way cheaper than VIT Mauritius due to the government funding.

Scoring 75% on the boards can improve the chances of being selected at VIT. The institute also expects students to take the English language at their higher secondary level, or at least belong to an English-medium school. They must take compulsory subjects like Mathematics and Physics with A-level/Form VI/ Senior VI or equivalent. The third subject can be Chemistry if interested in taking B.Tech.
