Hello Nisha,

Accounting scenario is a little dicey in Australia right now. Preference is given to the locals, you may find opportunities in rural remote areas.

Check the Skilled Occupation List, i think Accounting jobs are just on the border line so take caution, write to the institutions for careers services and internship opportunities.

To be eligible for CPA foundation examination which is first level examination in CPA curriculum, the student must have any of the below qualification :
Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Members of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants in India.
Members of the Company Secretaries in India.
Master of Commerce
MBAs
* Hence arts student can not opt for certified public accountancy

Hi Priyanka,
To make up for the 16 year education you can opt for a one year PG Diploma in India. You may opt for distance learning courses as well. Just make sure the programmes and the university is recognized by UGC-DEC such as IGNOU etc.
Secondly, you must have atleast 2 or 3 years work experience without which you will not be considered for admissions into any MBA programmes in USA and elsewhere. GMAT/GRE scores will be required. Additionally TOEFL would be required. GMAT and GRE scores are valid for five years whereas TOEFL scores are valid for 2 years so give the tests accordingly. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is the statutory title awarded to qualified accountants in the US who cleared the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination. Candidates should meet additional state education and experience requirements to become a certified CPA.

CPA is a CA equivalent of USA and good, only if you are planning to have a finance career in US or US based MNC
First of all you should have completed 120 hours of course in business and accounting.
