The eligibility criteria for BDS at A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences (ABSMIDS) are as follows:
Pass in 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as one of the languages of study.
The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December of the year of admission and should be NEET-UG qualified. NEET qualification is a prerequisite for admission to BDS.

The cutoff for Bachelor of Dental Surgery at ABSMIDS (A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences) in 2023 is based on the NEET ranks. The last round closing cutoff for Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2023 stood at 1208898 for the General All India category students.
