DES Pune University is a Tier 2 institution. Even though they have done very well on the academic front as well as in infrastructure, they are still far from the recognition and rankings that come with Tier 1 Institutions. As per NIRF rankings 2024, DES Pune University stands at number 3 among the state university category in Maharashtra, which reflects its growing status in the education landscape. The university continues to revise and update its programs and facilities, and these updates go on to favor its rankings positively against peer institutions.
