NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, Savitribai Phule Pune University ranks #56 under the category 'University'.
Savitribai Phule Pune University has been ranked 566 in the World University category by the QS World Rankings 2026.
A few more updates are as follows:
- The MAT Dec 2025 registrations are now open. For PBT mode, the last date to register is Dec 7, 2025, and the exam is scheduled for Dec 13, 2025. Moreover, for CBT mode, the registration closes on Dec 15, 2025, and the exam date is Dec 21, 2025.
- The MAH MBA CET 2026 application form is expected to be available at the end of Dec 2025, and the session 1 exam for admission to MBA/PGDM and MMS courses will be conducted from Apr 6 to Apr 8, 2026.
- The CMAT 2026 exam date for admission to MBA/PGDM/MMS courses is Jan 25, 2026, and the result can be expected in Feb 2026.
- The MAH MCA CET 2026 registration process will tentatively commence in the third or fourth week of Dec 2025, and the exam date is Mar 30, 2026.
- The ATMA 2026 Feb session registration is open until Feb 10, 2026, for admission to MBA/PGDM/MMS courses, and the exam will be held on Feb 22, 2026.
- The GPAT 2026 application form for admission to the MPharma course is expected to be released during the first week of April 2026.
- The MH CET Law 2026 exam for admission to LLB (3-year) course is scheduled to be held on Apr 1 and Apr 2, 2026. For Integrated LLB (5-year) course, the exam will be conducted on May 8, 2026.
- For admission to MHMCT (2-year) course, the MAH HM CET 2026 exam will be held on Mar 25, 2026, while for the BHMCT (4-year) course, the exam will be held from Apr 28 to Apr 30, 2026.

Candidates seeking admission to MA are required to have completed their relevant UG degree. For further selection, candidates have to appear for OEE conducted by UniPune for final selection. The majority of MA courses are available on the campus of UniPune while a few chunks of MA specialisations are also offered by various affiliated colleges and recognised institutes under UniPune.
Pune University BTech admission is subject to a valid score in Online Entrance Exam (OEE) conducted by the University. However, candidates with a valid score in JEE Main/ MHT CET are also considered for admission. Pune University BTech Agricultural Engineering admission is offered based on ICAR AIEEA scores. Candidates need to pass Class 12 from a recognised board with relevant subjects to apply for UniPune BTech admission. While BTech in Aviation is offered by SPPU on its main campus only, BTech programme is offered in multiple specialisations through SPPU-affiliated colleges. Read more here.

After appearing for the exam, students are required to wait for the merit lists released on the official website of the university. After the release of the merit list, students are required to fill in the admission form and upload the necessary documents in it. After all the documents are verified by the relevant department, an admission fee challan is generated and the fee must be paid followed by that before the last date.

SPPU Cut off 2026
As per the cut-off records, the last round cutoff score for the year 2024 closed off at 99.95 for PUMBA MBA General- All India category. Whereas, the CAT percentile for SPPU MBA cutoffs was 85 in 2024. Meanwhile, the BE in Computer Engineering (General-All India) exam had a 4728 score, while the BE in Metallurgical Engineering closed off at 30865. For entrances, such as the MAH CET, the cut-off 2024 closed at the percentile 99.95. Candidates must be aware of the cutoff trends to get a better chance at admission to Unipune. No, UNIPUNE doesn't offer direct admission to MBA course. Candidates have to qualify the eligibility and selection criteria. SPPU MBA admissions for Maharashtra candidates are subject to a valid score in MAH CET, conducted by DTE Maharashtra. However, for outside Maharashtra candidates, a valid score in CMAT/ CAT/ MAH CET works well. Interested candidates are required to register on the official website and appear for the course-wise shortlisting process. Before that candidates have qualify the eligibilty, any UG degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category candidates).
UNIPUNE offers BSc on the basis of merit and valid institutional level examination scores. The University offers BSc as a 3 year course in full-time mode with an annual intake of 240 students. UniPune offers two-year long MA programme. The PG-level course is offered in a full-time mode. Moreover, it is offered across different specialisations, such as English, Psychology, Economics, History, and more. Admission is entrance-based for the postgraduate course.
SPPU total tuition fee for MA ranges between INR 15,000 and INR 11.9 lakh. The fee varies depending upon the specialisation chosen, tenure of the course and the affiliated college selected by the student. This tuition fee is sourced from unofficial sources.
