If you wish to change your branch, then one and the only deciding factor is your first-year CGPA. It should probably be more than 8.5, and also depends on how many students have applied for the same, for complete procedure, you have to visit the student section and they will direct you in the best ways. Yes, you can. All you need is to maintain an 8+ CGPA all through the First Year which makes you eligible for a branch change at the start of the next Academic Year.
