The admissions in Dual degree courses B.Tech+M.tech at JNU are based on ranks obtained in JEE-Main. Hence the eligibility criteria is similar to NITs, IITs and GFTIs. 10+2 with minimum 75% of marks(For General category) or should in top 20 percentile of respective educational boards.

There is no defence quota in JEE exam. You should score more then 130 marks in JEE Main to get a seat in NITs in general category other state quota.

Placements: Placements in college are pretty good. The average salary package offered is around 6.5-7.5 LPA, and it is offered to computers, electronics and ENC students. The highest salary package offered this year was 39 LPA, and it was offered by Microsoft to almost 6 students.

No. Its no at all compulsory. But if you are thinking to do Masters in India, then GATE. Is the best. Even if you spend a year in preparation, no problem, go for GATE. With out GATE.
1. Career aspect: First thing you can't get into well reputed institutes like IITs, NITs, and some government colleges.
