Placements : The placement report of IIT Kharagpur highlights that maximum no of placements are done in the field of it and software. According to the official website, more than 1500 students are placed in over 250 renowned brands with good packages. Average salary is 13.3 Lacs INR. Infrastructure : IIT Kharagpur is spread over an area of approximately 2000 acres. Personal mode of transport is used in the institute campus. The institute is fully residential. Students are accomodated with 18 halls of residence and staff is provided with quarters. There is a gymkhana associated for sports and library system is fully computerized and students can access foreign libraries through wan facilities.
