There are more than 290 Construction Engineering colleges in India. Out of which around 153 colleges accept the GATE exam scores for admission to the M.E./MTech in Construction Engineering course. You need to get good marks and rank in the exam to get a seat at a top college, including the IITs and NITs.

The Construction Engg. entrance exams are generally highly competitive and challenging, with high competition for seats at top colleges every year. Construction Engineering and Management is mostly studied at the PG level, with entrance exams like GATE, CEETA, CUET PG, etc., to be cleared.

You should start with your preparation at least 6 to 8 months before the final exam is scheduled to take place. This gives you enough time on hand to prepare for the entrance test, cover all the important topics, especially the ones that carry more marks weightage, practice last year's question papers, and do a thorough revision in the last month to brush up on the important sections.
